  • Instructional Design Consultant - United Nations (2021-Present)

    As a consultant for the UN, I work to develop and maintain accessible online trainings, job aids, and in-person workshops with the Capacity Development and Operational Training Services division. Courses reach an audience of 2,000-45,000 individuals across duty stations worldwide.

     

    Duties include:

          

    • conducting training needs assessments to uncover performance gaps and identify future learning and development needs,

    • working closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to develop content,

    • developing storyboards and realizing courses in Storyline, Rise and Captivate,

    • designing and developing graphics and videos for course integration (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Vyond, Canva, etc.),

    • creating  and implementing courses in the Moodle-based LMS system.

    • performing UX and accessibility testing on all courses

    • following an agile approach to project development

    • managing projects, including the creation of project plans and tracking and documenting projects across the project life cycle

    • collaborating interdepartmentally and internationally to develop synchronous and asynchronous learning solutions, including user guides, job aids, workshops, classroom trainings, and e-learning

    • developing assessments and impact evaluations after training

    • analyzing data for data-driven instructional decisions

    • leveraging adult learning theory and emerging technologies to create personalized and effective learning experiences

  • Instructional Design Intern - Mid Michigan College (2020-2021)

    Assist instructional designers in the creation and implementation of virtual trainings, course development, LMS integration, creation of visual aids, and editing course materials for accessibility. Other tasks, such as providing tech support for faculty members, and researching are also a significant portion of daily tasks, as is designing graphics such as course banners and infographics for campus-wide distribution.

  • Secondary Education (2009-2020)

    Course design and data analysis. Creation and implementation of various hybrid, interactive, e-learning activities. Taught AP Human Geography and was certified in AP Social Studies 7-12. Served as history department chair and curriculum writer.

     



    Curriculum writing at a district level: creating units, objectives, and lessons for teachers to utilize in their social studies classrooms throughout the district.

    Facilitator and trainer for technology integration for a 1:1 district.

     

    Responsible for creating, implementing, and adapting teaching strategies to ensure the success of all students in the grade level. Strong initiative, creativity, and classroom management utilized on a daily basis, as well as close communication with peers, supervisors, and parents.
